This research is aimed to know what is Indonesian material cultural terms found in Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk and to know what is translation techniques used in translating Indonesian material cultural terms of Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk in The Dancer. This qualitative research applies documentation technique as the technique of data collection and purposive sampling as the technique of data processing. The collected data are descriptively analyzed. The research shows that there are ninety-one data. They are able of being classified into five types of material cultural terms: clothes (twenty-one data), foods (fifty-one data), houses (eight data), towns (six data), and transports (five data). The ninety-one data are translated with Molina & Albir’s twelve single translation techniques and seven combinations of translation techniques. They are adaptation (fifteen data), compensation (four data), description (eighteen data), established-equivalent (four data), generalization (seven data), modulation (thirteen data), particularization (two data), reduction (two data), transposition (two data), borrowing (four data), calque (eight data), literal translation (one datum), generalization-modulation (one datum), generalization-reduction (one datum), borrowing-calque (one datum). amplification (three data), reduction-borrowing (two data), particularization-borrowing (one datum), and modulation-calque (one datum).
