This research aims to analyze the flouting maxims contain in The Misfit of Demon King
Academy. This research uses qualitative method and the unit of analysis is the anime series of The
Misfit of Demon King Academy with addition the script of the series. The research uses Paul Grice’s
theory of cooperative principle and Implicature in finding the flouting maxims in the anime. Anos, as
the demon king of the demon tribe, is reincarnated after his sacrifice and try to regain his title and
fixing the past as someone already change the past. This research shows that there are 10 flouting
maxims and divided to three flouting maxim of quantity, one flouting maxim of quality, and five
flouting maxims of manner.
