This research discusses the complicated social class in The Walking
Dead TV Series. The film by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie
Adlard is about life after the zombie apocalypse. The researcher used a
qualitative method in conducting the study and the theory of Social Class by
Karl Marx to analyze and categorize the social classes found in The
Walking Dead TV Series. Karl Marx’s Social Class divides society into two
classes: the Bourgeoisie and the proletariat. However, the research had found that
a group of society can be part of two classes. For example, even though
the Alexandrians are proletariats, they act like Bourgeoisie by oppressing
another community. The impact of thissituation isthe two classes are layered,
and the hierarchy from the top to bottom rank is The Saviors, The Alexandrian,
and The Oceanside. Furthermore, the research found the portrayal of this
complicated social class in the movie’s narrative elements, such as the
dialogues and scenes
