This thesis aims to analyze the impact of Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) on Marilyn Monroe's personality as seen from her symptoms that lead to a riven personality between public and personal reality in Blonde film using Carl Jung's Analytical Psychology theory. The researcher used a qualitative method to analyze this research and all analysis data is collected from narration, dialogues, lyrics, and pictures from film related to the analysis. From this research, the researcher drew the conclusion that the PTSD experienced by Marilyn Monroe greatly impacted the different personalities between the public persona and the personal reality. Monroe's personality problems were triggered by her traumatic life experiences such as the loss of her parental figures, the abuse she received as a child, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and the loss of her unborn baby. These bad life experience are the reason behind Monroe’s different personality, In the public sphere, Monroe's personality appears like a normal woman who always shows love,happiness and passion for life, while behind her persona in front of many people, there is a complex emotional struggle in her psychological condition in personal reality.
