The portrayal of female dominance through conversation analysis of the main character in gone girl movie script

Gone Girl is a film adaptation of the novel, which narrates the disappearance
of the main character, Amy Dunne, who demonstrates significant dominance
and power through her interactions and her conversation. The purpose of this
research is to analyses the type of preference of organization and how female
dominance is portrayed in the main character of Gone Girl's movie script. The
theory used in this study is Harvey Sack's conversation analysis theory. The
method of this research uses qualitative methods. The research questions will
be answered in an analytical description. The type preference of organization
is divided into two types: preferred and dispreferred. As a result, this study
found 8 preferred responses and 10 dispreferred responses from the Amy
Dunne conversation.
