This study of Bound's novel aims to show how Sasana struggles to live in an environment where it is difficult to accept gender issues. Sasana gets a lot of discrimination because of behavior that is considered abnormal for masculine people, he is required to show only his masculine gender. Sasana who is the main character shows that there are two genders in him, not only masculine gender but he also shows feminine gender. The Researchers use descriptive qualitative and focus on issues related to gender identity. The theory used to analyze is the queer theory and the theory of gender performativity by Judith Butler. The results of this study indicate that Sasana as the main character in Bound novel is a form of representation of the shemale, but Sasana is also carries the character of feminism and masculine gender performativity. Therefore, the gender identity shown by Sasana is queer, which is a combination of masculine and feminine gender, so that neither one is dominant. Although. Sasana's body is that of a man and he has the courage to go against his body shape with the nature that he has of being feminism so that this becomes a negative stigma for heterosexual people.
