The study discussed the transportation of plantations by rail line, in the Vorstenlanden region in the liberal economic period of 1870-1900. The writing of this study is historic research, with economic political approaches and public policy theories developed by William Jenkins and William N. Dunn. The study showed the effect that results from the implementation of liberal economic systems, especially in the Vorstenlanden. The need for freight and passenger traffic is growing after cultuurstelsel was modified with the 1870 Agnes wet policy implemented. So the Dutch east Indies region was more open to foreign investment. More and more factories and plantations are in the interior, so the amount of production that has to be carried to harbors is increasing. Thus the distribution route was not smooth, so the colonial government made a design, and after a long debate within its government, railroad transport was selected. This suggests a symbol of the modernization of transport in the Dutch Indies. For this reason, certain areas of transportation are likely to feel the change. The development of the area around the station also marked changes in society caused by the railway line. Including the existence of land around the train station, which changed its original function to only be used as a place for repairing locomotive carriages, as well as a place for storing goods or warehousing, now it has developed into residential areas and trade locations
