This thesis aims to understand the characteristics of the main character and morally gray characteristics reflected by the main character, Harley Quinn. The writer analyzed the issue using Boggs and Petrie characterization theory, moral judgment as categorization (MJAC) theory by McHugh et al, and the concept of morally ambiguous character (MAC) by Krakowiak and Oliver. In order to know the answer of this research, qualitative research design with descriptive analysis is used as the method in this thesis. According to the research findings, there is no study that compares morally ambiguous characters who grow or change throughout a story to those who do not; both types of characters are likely to be labelled "morally ambiguous." As a result, in order to better understand MAC, studies must focus on distinguishing processes and types of moral ambiguity in characters.
