The research aims to explore how homosexuality is depicted through the homosexual gesture represented in Call Me by Your Name Film. This study entitled "Exploring Elio & Oliver's Homosexual Gesture in Call Me by Your Name Film" used qualitative method to analyze and Judith Butler’s queer theory as the theoretical basis. From the queer theory, the writer connects the homosexual gesture in Call Me by Your Name with three performativity, namely, performance, homosexual identity, and sexual activity. The results of the analysis in the form of homosexual gestures are obtained: First, the performativity of performance which describes the character generally and clothes worn by Elio and Oliver as a same-sex couple. Second, the performativity of homosexual identity shows evidence that the main actors are gay men. Third, the performativity of sexual activities such as kissing, touching, and sexual deviations that are carried out in inappropriate places. Thus, this research can provide new understanding and ideas about homosexuality in Call Me by Your Name Film.
