The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the level of
information literacy ability of students in an effort to prevent hoaxes in Insan
Cendikia Madani School. This research use explanative methods with a
quantitative approach. The population in this study were 10th grade
students. The sampling technique used in this study was Total Sampling.
The total sample used in this study was 50 people. The technique used for
data collection was a questionnaire. Data analysis technique used is simple
linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS V22 software. The results of
this study indicate that the correlation test between 2 variables level of
Information Literacy Ability and Hoaxes known value of 0.634 so that it is
included in the high category. Based on the results of the regression test, it
is known that the value of the influence of the level of literacy ability of
students in an effort to prevent hoaxes in Insan Cendikia Madani School is
Y = -0.219 + 0.304 X. While the Determinant Coefficient test is 0.403 or
40.3% and can be categorized as moderate, 59.7% left influenced by other
factors not examined
