This study is aimed to show the gender inequality and women movement in bridgerton (2020). It was done by establishing two research questions: revealing the construction of two main female characters, daphne and eloise, and analyzing the gender inequality and women movement. Type of data of the study was taken from two data sources: primary and secondary. The primary data source is a film entitled Bridgerton which has been released in 2020 on netflix. The secondary data sources are other references taken from books, journals, and internet related to the study. Both data were collected through library research and analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. The outcome of the study shows the following conclusions. First, the gender inequality experienced by Daphne and Eloise are caused by their surroundings which are the relation to family, public space, and social life. Second, the characters further response to the gender inequality they experienced represents women movement; freedom to choose, equal respect, and equal treatment and liberty.
