Revealing how the Arab-American character’s identity crisis during adolescence depicted in a map of home novel and how the character deal with the identity crisis is the aim of this research. The research uses the descriptive qualitative method, and it is supported by Erik erikson’s identity crisis concept and James E. Marcia’s identity status theory. In a map of home novel, Nidali experiences identity crisis during adolescence as she starts questioning and feels unsure about herself. Nidali is also aware that she has a complex mixed background and finds herself straddling between two cultures. In the later stages, she realizes that she is attracted to both males and females. The result shows that when Nidali undergoes an identity crisis, her dynamic character presents significant changes. The identity statuses that marks Nidali’s identity crisis are: 1) Identity diffusion; 2) Foreclosure; 3) Moratorium; and 4) Identity achievement. In conclusion, the identity crisis phenomenon is commonly found in adolescents, especially those with multicultural, multinational, and multiethnic backgrounds, which in this case is represented by Nidali.
