This research aims to find out the representation of women‟s body image through the women characters in the tall girl (2019) film. The research uses qualitative research by descriptive method. To analyze the film, the writer uses the theory of
representation and the concept of body image to focus on the main problem, women‟s body image. Furthermore, to support the analysis, the writer uses the cinematography aspects within the film. The result of this research shows that the film depicts the women‟s body image that considered as the ideal one by the society stereotype, especially in New orleans is the woman who has a thin and proportional body. While, the woman who has a different body size is considered as unideal. Moreover, the writer finds out that the film offers the ideology regarding the body that is related in teenager‟s perspective about self-acceptance and self-confidence. The film believes that the woman can stands herself out when she believes on herself and her body image.
