This study aims to examine the translation of utterances in the form of assertive illocutionary acts contained in the english-Indonesian language from Arthur’s in aquaman, providing the accuracy of the translated text to the source language. The qualitative method is used in this research for explore more the objective in the main character. The sources of data is streaming entitled aquaman by James wan as the director in this film. The result of the analysis showed that there are seven functions of assertive. The result of data analysis showed there are 124 words that are classified as assertive utterance. Firm words in the form of words found by the character arthur in aquaman. The functions contained in speech (4) stating, (3) complaining, (2) boasting, (3) affirming, (2) denying, and (4) informing. Then, frequent of translation technique which applied to translate the subtitle have 11, they are literal translation technique is found the most frequently used, followed by established, modulation, transposition, reduction, generalization, etc. Meanwhile, the analysis of accuracy shows that the level of accuracy is high. It is due to the fact that there are only a few data consider to be less accurate and inaccurate. The level of accuracy implied the data are generally the translation is good.
