This research analyzes grammatical and lexical cohesion devices in Emma Watson’s speech text. The purposes of the research are to know how the grammatical and lexical cohesion used in the speech text to reveal gender equality and to know grammatical and lexical cohesion used dominantly in the speech text to reveal the gender equality. Through counting the percentage of every cohesion devices that appear in the speech text by Scinto’s formula.
