This research is aimed to know how is deixis translation in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader novel by C. S. Lewis which is translated from English into Indonesian by Indah S. Pratidina. This research analyzes four types of deixis that is used by the author that arise the differences between English and Indonesian. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive method. The writer analyzes and describes the translation of deixis from the the Voyage of the Dawn Treader novel. This research uses the theory of deixis from George Yule and Levinson about explanation and types of deixis. The result of this research reveals that English and Indonesian difference in using deixis. The difference of cultures between English and Indonesian is influencing in translating deixis words in order to give a communicative translation to readers.
