This research discusses about the poem by Robert Browning, Meeting at Night, which is translated into Indonesian language by Pringadi Abdi Surya Pertemuan di Malam Hari. The objectives of this research are to know what kinds of imagery in this poem and also to know how the imagery translations in the poem Pertemuan di Malam Hari by Pringadi Abdi Surya. In this research, the writer focuses on the analysis of imagery in the poem. The writer uses descriptive qualitative analytic method. She reads the poem carefully and gives the attention for each line that contains imagery. The writer uses the theory of imagery to analyze the poem. Then, she looks up reliable dictionaries to find out whether the meaning of imagery TL is suitable with the SL or not. Finding of this study shows that Pringadi's translation uses the mimetic approach as a method to translate Browning poem. The formal equivalence as the result of this method is much better to make the reader understand the poem in the other language. The writer found that the poet utilizes six kinds of imagery in his poem; they are visual, auditory, organic, tactile, olfactory, and kinesthetic imagery. Visual imagery is most widely found in this poem.
