The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the ability of information
literacy of students of acceleration class program at SMAN 2 Tangerang Selatan
in completing paper assignment. This research uses descriptive research type with
quantitative approach and survey research method using questionnaire. The
questionnaires were distributed to grade 11 and 12 acceleration class programs
totaling 83 students overall. The sample used in this study is Quota Sampling
where the entire population is sampled or 100% of students of acceleration class
program. Information literacy model used in this research is Empowering 8 by
taking 3 aspects of information literacy capability that is identifying, organizing,
and creating information. The results showed that the ability of student
information literacy is good in completing paper assignment. The average score
score from the identifying aspect is 2.97, the organizing aspect is 3.22, the aspect
of creating 3.64, the three are on the interval scale 2.57 - 3.27.
