This research studies about The Purge (2013) film directed by James DeMonaco. By using qualitative method and descriptive analysis technique, this research explains conflict between two different races through S. Dale McLemore’s theory of prejudice and discrimination theory. The analysis is aimed to find out how prejudice and discrimination issues and the relationship between prejudice and discrimination is described through theories of Prejudice and Discrimination by analyzing through the characters.
From the analysis, there are several characters involved in act of prejudice and discrimination. After that, it can be concluded that there are two forms of the relationship between prejudice and discrimination. There are prejudice that does not lead into discrimination and prejudice that leads into discrimination.
