Kiki Rizkiah, Transposition Analysis in Novel Dork Diaries; Party Time by Rachel Renee Russell. Thesis: Faculty of Adab and Humanities, State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatllah Jakarta, 2016. In the research, the writer focuses on the analysis of transposition procedure, its method and equivalence on the novelDork Diaries; Party Time by Rachel Renee Russell: novel translated by Tessa Febiani. The writer uses the qualitative method. The writeranalyses the translation by reading the source language and target language, marking the transposition words, selecting and analyzing them using Vinay and Darbelnet’s transposition theory, Newmark’s method and Nida’s equivalence theory. Based on the analysis, 120 data selected as transposition; 39 data have been classified into Obligate Transposition and 81 data have been classified into Optional Transposition.This research using random sampling to analysis the data, 25 data analyzed and found 18 Optional transposition and 7 Obligate transposition.Based on the findings, omission strategy is dominant in this novel translation and the writer also found 1 data that failed in transferring the message. In other wordthe message between source language and target language not equivalent. As a result, thetransposition procedure in Dork Diaries are translated using communicative method and dynamic equivalent.
