This study aims to determine the effect of library anxiety on the use of electronic
journals by students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Syarif Hidayatullah State
Islamic University, Jakarta, class 2016. The population of this study was 145
students. By using the sampling technique, namely probability sampling, the sample
used was 60 respondents. By using an interval scale calculation, it is known that the
highest anxiety variable experienced is in mechanical barriers with an average score
of 2.68 (high), library comfort barriers get an average score of 2.63 (high), library
knowledge barriers have an average score. an average of 2.54 (high), affective
barriers get an average score of 2.21 (low) and barriers with staff get an average score
of 2.36 (low). The overall mean final score was 2.47. The score is on an interval scale
of 1.76 - 2.51 (low). Based on the results of the coefficient of determination test, it
can be seen that library anxiety has an effect (6.7%) on the use of electronic journals
by students of FIKES UIN Jakarta is negative and significant. That is, the high and
low utilization of electronic journals among FIKES UIN Jakarta students is
simultaneously influenced by the library anxiey, the rest (93.3%) is influenced by
other factors not examined in this study. Then the data were analyzed using simple
linear regression and it was found that there was an effect between library anxiety on
the use of electronic journals in a negative level. This can be seen after the results of
hypothesis testing obtained a value of "F" _count of 4.175. And the value of "F"
_table is 4.01 with the result of the regression equation Y = 43.712 - 0.265 X, which
means that the greater the anxiety experienced, the lower the use of electronic
journals for students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Syarif Hidayatullah State
