This research aims to analyze the directive of illocutionary acts that contains in Quran
English Translation in the last ten surah of section 30 by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. This
research uses the qualitative method, and the unit of analysis is the Quran English
translation in the last ten surah of 30th section of the book The Meaning of The Holy
Quran by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. In more specific terms, the study is aimed at
analyzing and identifying the directive and utterances direct or indirect in a text of
translation Quran English translation. This research used the directive illocutionary
acts theory, which was proposed by John.R. Searle. As a result, this research shows
that there are 19 types of the directive, it consists of various kinds, they are twelve
commands, three ask, and four forbid (prohibiting). Then, there are utterances
conveyed, directly and indirectly, it consists of 11 utterances are conveyed directly,
and eight utterances are conveyed indirectly
