The purpose of this research is to showed that how the main character, as a black woman portrayed the black feminist thought by Patricia Hills Collins. This research used a qualitative method and descriptive analysis to analyzed the main female characters‘ consciousness-raising and relationship with other black women. In The Hate U Give movie, the experience of the main female character as a black woman to encountered the oppression that is combined in everyday life is depicted in her lives. Besides that, the black feminist thought is applied to explore whether people who have constructed identities simultaneously have the consciousness to survive and resisted the injustices that are a part of her lives. This thought embraced the relationship of black women with one another, the consciousness as a sphere of freedom, which is elaborated to self-definition, self-valuation, and respect, self-reliance and independence, self, change, and empowerment. In conclusion, black feminist thought is important to the developing empowerment of black people, especially for the orientation of the character of black women to against the discrimination.
